Artist Statement :
‘My art attests to my journey as an eclectic artist - diverse, experimental, always evolving, balancing the classics with progressive styles. Through my art, I hope to share my personal flavour of colour and emotion, in drawing beauty out of the mundane, in tracing movement amidst stillness, and in capturing immortality from the fleeting
I do not have a habit of repeating what has already been done either by myself or others. I constantly aim to break new grounds because of my thirst to strive for originality, creativity and uniqueness."
Never have I imagined that my art would receive such media attention and recognition. I’m very thankful to God and grateful to my family and friends who have been encouraging and supportive throughout my pursuits.
Memoirs of moments where my art creations meet the audiences, held in reputable galleries providing the space to facilitate a connection between me (the artist), my view of the world and its surrounding , my art and with the viewers. Having my work being included in exhibition is a chance for me to express and share what is dear and means a lot to me. Many sincere heartfelt thank to all galleries/gallerists whom have supported me and ongoing trusted collaboration and partnership.
LIFE FIGURE DRAWING
..is an essential discipline that is practice even by professional artists. The reality never lies. Drawing from life means attempting to capture the world as it really is. It is the means for studying forms, proportions, perspective, shading and all the fundamentals that go along with learning to draw or keep perfecting the skills. I personally see this as crucial for my personal ongoing development and to evolve through a sustenance of solid foundation.
PLEIN AIR ACTIVITIES
En Plein air painting/sketching is literally drawing in an outdoor environment, where the nature, e.g. lighting and weather conditions is beyond artist control and totally at the mercy of the environment. It gives a platform for rapid development of eyes, hands, mind and soul coordination capturing a scene is quick gesture. It also engages all 5 senses – sight, touch sound, smell and hear. It is simply magical albeit, a visceral experience where all these contributes to my emotional response and thus the freedom for my expression base on non-static surrounding.
